The non-invasive, drug-free, hands-on approach focuses on patient examination, diagnosis and customized
treatment. Through diagnostics, we are trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises to patients.
We also recognize the importance and health-related benefits of nutrition and proper lifestyle choices.
Spinal decompression therapy is a non-surgical procedure performed on a table and supervised by Salvatore Germino, DC that utilizes motorized traction in order to gently stretch the spine in order to change the force and position. This then takes pressure off of the discs causing the bulging or herniated discs to retract and take pressure off of the nerves and other structures in the spine. In turn, this will help to promote the movement of water, oxygen and nutrient rich fluids into the disc so that they can heal.
Auto Accident Injury Treatment
There are millions of auto accidents occurring in the United States each and every year. Dr. Germino utilizes a combination
of chiropractic care along with other non-invasive alternative health therapies to treat the symptoms of auto accidents.
These include massage therapy, cold laser therapy, spinal decompression and in some instances acupuncture can be utilized.
Pregnancy & Pediatric Chiropractic
A study performed by the American Medical Association Board of Trustees concluded that women who
received chiropractic care during their third trimester of pregnancy were able to carry and deliver with far more
comfort. Plus, the need for painkillers was also reduced by half in several patients in another well-known study.
Children particularly need pediatric chiropractic care as they age because a lot of the problems we experience as adults actually
come from our childhood – either because we fell (think about how many times a day a baby falls when they are learning
to walk, sometimes 10-20 times per day), broke something or simply had poor posture (which is extremely common today).
Cold Laser Therapy
Cold laser therapy applies infrared light to stimulate cells and aid in the healing process. This helps to reduce inflammation,
increase healing times and alleviate pain. The laser is placed directly over the injured area for anywhere from 30 seconds to
several minutes, dependent upon the severity of the injury. During this time the light that is emitted from the laser passes through
the skins layers and reaches the target area. When cells absorb the light energy, it initiates a series of events that eventually results
in normalizing the damaged nerves or tissue as well as reduce the pain and inflammation. This accelerates the overall healing process.
We utilize massage therapy in conjunction with chiropractic to relieve pain, maintain spinal alignment, improve circulation and speed up recovery.
